FSC Certification

The Forest Stewarship Council® (FSC) is an international organisation promoting responsible management of the Earth’s forests. FSC® Chain of Custody certification traces wood through the supply chain to forests managed to the high standard FSC® holds, including social, environmental and economic issues.

Chain of Custody certification ensures that from forest to end-user, the FSC® materials have been traced at every stage, and the logo allows customers to identify that the products they purchase come from well-managed forests with high ethical standards.

Chain of Custody Certification offers a reliable way to trace timber, forest products, paper and print media through the entire supply chain, from forest to end-user. Chain of Custody is increasingly becoming a basic requirement for any company in the sectors wishing to display a responsible approach to purchasing.

You may require FSC®, PEFC™ or both. A quick phone-call or live chat can usually help you determine your needs. Our FSC® and/or PEFC™ audits are fully integrated, making life simpler for you.

PEFC Certification

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC™) is an international, independent organisation promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification. PEFC™ works to encourage good practise within forests, to ensure timber and pulp products are produced to the highest standard, whilst respecting the environment and people who live in these forests.

For the wood-processing industry, PEFC™ Chain of Custody certification can improve efficiency and production systems through enhanced traceability. Selling products through a Chain of Custody system provides reassurance to the consumer that the products with the PEFC™ logo are sustainable, and the business carrying these products holds ethics and environmentally responsible practices to the highest regard.

We have extensive experience in conducting certification with a wide variety of organisations, and you can be assured that we will understand your processes and procedures and audit against the requirements of the Standard.

We also understand the constraints for smaller organisations, and ensure that we offer a service that competes well against ‘group scheme’ models. We believe that the inherent risk of certificate suspension die to the actions of another company in the group outweigh any advantages.

You will find that many Certification Bodies have a lengthy application process. We don’t! We can normally be in a position to advise you on whether you are ready for certification and, if so, quote you within a couple of minutes of telephone or live chat.
